Faculty of Agriculture, Nangarhar University! Short history: The Faculty of Agriculture was established in the year 1381 according to the development plan of Nangarhar University and officially started working. The aim of the faculty is to develop the agriculture and livestock sector through training of agricultural specialists, food security, poverty alleviation, agribusiness and economic empowerment. Has: Human capacity building. Introduction and use of modern agricultural technology. Regular and sustainable use of natural resources for the benefit of humanity and Afghans in particular. Conduct research in the field of agriculture and share it with relevant stakeholders for use. At present, there are seven (7) departments in the faculty, which are mentioned below: 1. Department of Agricultural Economics and Extension 2. Department of Agronomy 3. Department of Zoology 4. Plant Protection Department 5. Horticulture Department 6. Department of Forestry 7. Department of Food Technology There are eight faculty members who have completed their doctoral, master's and bachelor's degrees. Since its inception, the faculty has graduated eight graduates in four terms who are working in different parts of the country. Most of the teachers in this faculty use new and modern technology in their teaching. Faculty of Agriculture vision: To develop the agricultural sector through the training of professional cadres in the Faculty of Agriculture, which in turn will improve the social and economic life of the people and make proper use of the relevant resources. Mission of the Faculty of Agriculture: Training of cadres in relevant sectors of agriculture sector. Increasing the quantity and quality of agricultural produce and products and strengthening agribusiness and industry. Introduce and disseminate new technology through teaching, writing and research. Encouraging people to make reasonable use of relevant agricultural resources and protecting the environment.
