Hotel Vila Aleksander

Our stay was just a dream. Not only that we spent a wonderful time in Berat, and especially in Vila Alexander, but also, we had the chance to meet and spend time with our hosts, who are extraordinary persons. They both love what they do: they truly enjoy receiving people in their wonderful hotel. They take the time to share with people. I will never forget them. Regarding the hotel and the room, I have nothing to say except that it was perfect. Everything is beautiful, designed with taste and exceptionally clean. The breakfast is good and home made. I'm speechless about what I feel about out stay. Amazing isn't strong enough. I just can't imagine coming back in Albania without staying in Vila Alexander. You can see the love that went into this building, which took 5 years to rebuild. Everything was done intentionally and it shows. The rooms are well appointed and feel...solid. I know that's a strange word to use, but the stone and wood make it feel secure and a place you can feel comfortable in. Breakfast in the morning was great and served by the owner - not something you see everyday! The view over the city from the balcony is great and is in a very nice spot. You can't go wrong!

My family of four stayed here for one night and we were very impressed. The hotel is very charming and the hosts are true professionals. The rooms are nicely updated and comfortable. The WiFi is strong and the location is great. Also the breakfast was good too (pancakes, eggs, fresh juice, coffee, and more).

This is a lovely hotel in the heart of the old town. The facilities are good but the breakfast could use an upgrade. Views from the terrace are gorgeous though. Wish I could have this every day. Getting to the hotel is not super easy though and it’s advisable not to carry heavy luggage.

Nice hotel in the heart of the old town. Nice traditional style rooms, with a comfy bed and good bathroom and shower. Staff were friendly and even alerted us to tickets for the Çobo Winery harvest festival (which was amazing!). Breakfasts were pretty good, and the terrace view over the town is great.
