Black Pearl Albania

Going on this trip with the Black Pearl was truly a wild experience. We originally were booked to be with Tetua Tours but apparently one of their groups canceled and we ended up going on the Black Pearl instead. This is a large, slow, decrepit ferry boat equipped with a bathroom, bar and mediocre dj. We were told that the boat would go to the same locations as the Tetua tour boat, meaning Sazan island, the cave of Haxhi Ali and a beach on the Karaburun peninsula. We ended up not going to the caves at all because of bad weather which was disappointing to say the least. There was also a very large group on our boat celebrating a birthday and while it was fun being on the boat with them for awhile it got very tiresome after several hours. The boat was blasting extremely loud music the whole time and the party group made a huge mess with party favors and confetti. Much of this blew off into the water. Also, in terms of the bad weather there were several people who threw up on the ride to Sazan island as the seas were pretty rough. If you want a quiet, relaxing trip to see the beautiful nature in Vlorë I would not recommend this trip. I think in the future I would only go with Tetua tours or go on a smaller, faster boat which can take you to more places and only costs 7 or 8 euros more. Overall it was still a fun and very memorable experience, just not exactly what we were expecting or wanted.

Do not recommend this service, choose any other in the port you are better off. Their ship was out of order when we booked, and offered a motor boat tour instead, skipping Sazan but going to Karaburun beach and caves for the same price. We waited more than one hour until start, the motorboat was full and the driver did not speak English. They took us to the beach and left there. We waited all day to go to the caves, but nothing happened. Others in the group told us, that they will do the trip to the caves in the evening before taking back to Vlora. It turned out, that they have forgotten us but informed all others when to go to cave tour. So we just got a ferry to Karaburun beach for full price instead of going to Karaburun, caves and Sazan. When we complained about this and asked for partial refund, they completely refused it.

We were all satisfied with a very nice trip - both me and my wife and 2 children, the tickets cost us 16 € per person and the children entered for free. Very nice ship service. The duration of the tour is from 10:00 to 18:00. During this time, there were 3 hours off on the Karaburun peninsula and an hour on the island of Sazan. I highly recommend. PS Good to bring water shoes.

Careful! They are cheaters. They do not take you to the destinations you paid for and refuse any refund. Attenzione! The service is a truffle. Non vi portano a destinations e as reimbursement di reimbursement.
