iRent Albania

I rented a car with iRent in July and it helped me really a lot in moving around Albania. Great service and prices, and very comfortable. They wait for you in the airport and they can pick it back at the same place. The deposit (that is paid in cash) returned back very quickly by bank transfer in around one week. Definitelly I would rent again with them.

Very recommendable company. I really had some doubts considering I'm used to very well organized German business class car rental agencies and here I didn't really get a detailed booking confirmation E-mail, but everything worked perfect. By the way, this is very typical for Albania: everything is a bit shabbier than you'd expect, you get very little information if you do not ask for it, but the people are surprisingly friendly and honest, helpful, and in the end everything always works out just as promised. We rented a Chevy Spark for two weeks. The spare wheel had enough air in it, the oil in the car looked surprisingly new. Breaks where a bit squeaky but worked very reliable, clutch pedal was a bit weird, but that tiny car was unbelievably reliable. Little Tip: Pay cash, pay in Euros, don't expect change (this again goes for Albania in general). Got my security deposit back very quick. They didn't charge us for the second driver.
