Valbonë Eco Camping

I booked a room. The place was closed. They said they don't have electricity. Didn't provide me with solution. I was left alone in the rain searching for other options to overnight. I cried. They didn't even apologize

Place was closed. I had a booking there. I regret I choose it. Not helpful.

Amazing place to stay at!!! Super friendly host

It is more a guest house than a camping. This experience was just horrible, campers are not welcome. There is no price list, locked shower and toilet, and nothing else. The "host" is usually not there. He speaks only albanian, on the contrary he counts very quickly. We didn´t know how much we were supposed to pay for our stay, and at the end he was really rough with us. He invented some amount, and when we wanted a receipt (just by principle), he told us to come in two hours because he had not a wi-fi (ha ha ha). This is just and example of the strange behaviour of the "host" (the toilet and shower locked all the time, when someone arrived to the guest house, he told us that the toilet won´t be disponible as it is for other guests, etc.) The athmosphere is really strange there, no one of other guests wanted to stay there more than one night, and usually left very early in the morning.

Agim (sorry if the spelling is not correct) is a warm hearted and friendly host. He did everything to make us feel at home (“my home is your home”). Attention: if you hike from Theth to Valbona and you have booked an night at this place, don’t ask google for the way to walk. Otherwise you will end up on the graveyard, as we did 😂. After the tiring hike you might just want to arrive in the guesthouse instead of walking another detour. So coming from Theth just follow the main street of valbone village until you find the entrance and the sign of eco camping at the left hand!
