UPS - United Transport

I don't know if UPS is sooo bad overall or is just the UPS branch here in Albania. Firstly you have no way to contact customer support, good luck getting a response from the 2 numbers listed on their sites here. They only contact you for the payments and after that they go silent 💤. On more than 2 cases they demanded unlawful payment based on nothing and way above customs fees here and one time they lost the package and after that they charged us for storage costs???!!! I don't understand why our abroad supplier has only the option to send through UPS?! I believe the Albanian people/company that is contracted from UPS here for their services are in for money laundering because there is no other explanation! I would give them 0 Stars

A very bad service, the worst I've ever seen. First, for a package of around 22 euros coming from the UK, I had to pay an overall tax (customs + storage) of 1650 lekë (13 euro). Second, the postman did not come to the address that I had declared, as a normal postal service should do, but he wanted to bring the package to the bar where I was drinking a beer with a friend. I waited more than 1 hour after the call. Then, I had to walk somewhere else in order to meet him. The communication was extremely unprofessional and irritating, as if he was talking to a child or some random person in the street.

*****DO NOT USE THEM***** I have post a present for a friend in Albania and paid £40 , I said the value of the item was £50. After 2 weeks my friend received a phone call saying that needs to pay 5000 Lekë (£40) extra for customs. We asked them to send a invoice for it to explain why this price the guy was so unprofessional and rude he said if you don't pay i will keep the parcel. After 3 weeks calling costumer service and trying get help UPS did nothing. In the end my friend paid £40 extra without any explanation and £30 for storage tax, ridiculous.

Personally I have mailed to bring from abroad twice the ups that has been a very good experience in both cases above all have been shown to be very careful because the package can be damaged but it has come in super condition neither shipment is delayed nothing for me are the best in albania

Very rude and unprofessional service. You have to pay 22.% over the value of (the goods + the shipping fee that was already paid once). They tax you again an administration fee. And finally you have to pay another storage fee. So if you buy some goods approx. 100€, be prepared to pay another 50€ to the UPS branch in Albania. (They are not even a brach of UPS actually) United transport. Not recommended at all.
