Gjirokastër Obelisk

A little difficult to find, but definitely worth checking out for the view. The door to visit no longer looks like the one pictured in a previous review.

One of the best spots in Gjirokastra City. Amazing view of the city. From up here you can get a 360 degree view.

Giant obelisk which is accesible on a needs to know basis. Yes, one of those. Yellow framed door opposite 4rooms hotel, theres a sign saying obelisk with steps. Climb up and theres an old school which is no longer open for exhibition. Free. Panoramic views. Can see the castle too

A very nice viewpoint in the heart of Gjirokastra. Hidden access via a door with yellow door frame (see picture) opposite the hotel 4Rooms. A very beautiful lookout point right in the center of Gjirokastra. The access is pretty hidden: you have to go through a door that looks like a front door. The door has a yellow frame with the inscription "Obelisk" and is located diagonally across from the hotel 4Rooms (see photo).
