The best way to go to Athens fast and cheap

Took the bus from Gjirokaster to Athens. Supposed to be an 8-hour journey but the bus left late, stopped at various locations to pick some parcels & stopped again to drop them off & it became 10 hours. Driver smoked on the bus. Only 1 toilet break for the whole 10-hour journey. Cost 25 Euros or 3300 lek for 1 way journey

This is a bus company that does direct lines from gjirokaster to Athens. It costs 25 euros one way and you can save 5 euros if you buy a roundtrip ticket. They have two departure times, early morning or a night bus.

A shame for a greek company! Never get such awful bus experience with this company

When I took the bus to reach Ionnina in Greece, at the border we were unfortunately blocked more than 3 hours. Of course the driver and the company were not for nothing. What brings me to post this message is what happened next. The driver having taken a clear delay to reach Athens dropped me at the intersection of the roads to Athens and Ionnina, refusing to make the detour to the bus station of Ionnina for so few people .. So I was more than an hour and a half away from it, in the middle of the night (1am), on the edge of the road in the middle of the industrial zone I found this way of acting detestable on the part of this driver.
