Restaurant Tradicional Odaja

What a lovely place. Went there tonight and the service was brilliant. The food is amazingly cheap and very tasty. Would highly recommend it to anyone who visits Gjirokastra. They must sit at the balcony. Wonderful view.

If you visit Gjirokastër you must visit this place. Everything was perfect. Delicious traditional food, extra clean place and very kind and friendly staff. Totally recommended.

We left this restaurant with full stomach and full heart. Food was delicious and our hosts were so kind and friendly. Vagetables in the salad felt like they came from my grandmother's garden, one portion is enough for two people if you're not too hungry; qifqi were very well seasoned and not too oily, and stuffed peppers and imam bayildi, although vegetarian, tasted amazing, the second one with a bit richer flavour. Portions are not too big, but just right to go with some traditional starter and desert. Don't expect to be satisfied with main course only if you are starving, and it would actually be a shame not to try more dishes. We finished our meal with traditional albanian sweet - baked cheese with honey and sesame - absolutely heavenly and must try. Important note - if you're a smoker, it's best to reserve a balcony table in advance, because there are only two tables with two seats available there and also you don't wanna miss Gjirokaster fairytale view while enjoying your meal. And at the end, best surprise of all will be the bill, because prices here are unexpectedly reasonable, even lower than average. Overall, Odaja is our new favorite in Albania ❤️

Great food, wine and service. The table on the balcony is just perfect for enjoying traditional local dinner while watching the city transit from day to night. We’ll be back!
