Not a museum, not a house that shows Kadare's life and works. It's only a bunch of empty rooms, completely renewed, without any piece of history. Just some Kadare's books here and there, and some of his pictures and posters in the main room (plus, without any explanation whatsoever). The people working inside do not provide further details.

Cool place very new, but as per comments, its just a remake. Not much detail. When we came noone was around. Didnt stay for long.

It's Kadare's House, nothing else. Even though we innocently expected that there'll be something about the well-known author, only found a bunch of photos without any context. We were even wondering if the person who curated this "exhibition" has ever seen a real exhibition, because this is not how exhibitions work. Maybe they should think about changing the name to "Kadare's Renovated But Still Empty House" or something similar.

I don't understand some of the bad reviews here, it's priced at 200 leke which is very good for the experience it offers. It is the house where Ismail Kadare was raised, it burned down a while back and was renovated in 2016 according to the original design. It is now used as an exhibition. Typical Ottoman architecture and design similar to other houses in town like Skenduli and Hoxha's house (Ethnographic Museum). Guide was very polite and helpful
