SIPA TOURS, RENT A CAR

Best choice to rent a car! Really nice people working there! Quickly agreed about the price and conditions for Suzuki Jimny without any pre-payment or contacts. next morning everything was ready and the contract etc took only few minutes. Prolonged the car for half day more really easy. Highly recommended! If you don’t like to drive through mountains - they also organize safari tours and other different nice activities. Sure that you will enjoy it, taking into account the human factor they are simply the best in Sarandë !

We rented a car from Sipa Tours which we had a problem with in the mountains. They were very helpful and came with a new car for us. The contact with both the stuff and the owner was very nice and we felt taken care of. The guy Xhoni who works there is a star with a big heart and I would easily hire him myself without hesitation. Warmest recommendations!

Warning! We rented a car from Sipa Tours and were deceived. The car we got was in such a bad condition that it barely moved forward, but they said it was checked and that it was ok. The car broke down completely after 3h as we drove in the mountains. They did not send any new car, instead we had to wait 4h in the mountains for tower and we had to go with the tow truck back. Everything took a whole day. When we came back he told us that we would have to pay for the car because it was broken, even tho they said before we left that we had all the insurance.

Basically good. But first time ever I have had to wash the car myself before return so they could check if there was any damage.

Although this seems to be a forum for car rental, there appears to be no other place to review Sipa tours for their guided tours so I'm placing my review here. My wife and I visited Butrint National park in Albania with Sipa on a day trip from Corfu last week. There was clearly no attempt at planning transport for the different nationalities of customer and, as there were too many English speakers for one coach, a few of us were lumped in with a bus full of German speakers as a last minute thought. Fortunately, Sipa had amongst the guides a lady who spoke both German and English. She did her best to point out places of interest as we were driven from the port to the national park. Sadly, 75% of her dialogue was in German and we were only given the odd scraps in English in what came across as a rushed afterthought long after we'd passed the location. When we reached Butrint, we joined the English speakers from the other coach and had a different English speaking guide who attempted to lead all 50 of us through the park. The group was at least twice the size it should have been, resulting in many of us being unable to hear what the guide was saying most of the time. What could have been a great day trip turned in to a farce simply due to poor organisation and (I suspect) greed on the part of the tour company. I hate giving reviews with just 1 star and, as such, have given 2 stars purely out of generosity. 2 stars, though, is generous. Would not recommend Sipa tours and would recommend avoiding doing business with them.
