If you like relatively un-touristed, undeveloped, abandoned feeling places, then Cemiterio de Navios (The Ship Cemetery) is definitely for you! It can be difficult to get to - you'll need access to a vehicle, and a local person who knows the area, as taxis don't go and there is no public transportation. Lonely Planet advertises a day trip, but no one in Luanda seems to know anything about that. Santiago Beach / The Ship Cemetery is completely undeveloped for tourism as of this writing. That means, no public toilets, no restaurants, no water for sale. You'll need to carry with you everything you need for the visit. The site is near the town of Santiago, and most locals will know the site as "Santiago Beach" (Plaia Santiago). There are reports of foreign tourists sometimes being mugged. The place is remote - you should not go alone or after dark.
