Reviews
small bookshop with flair.
anna jeller is a very friendly, literate bookshop-owner, it seems as if she has read all the books she sells ;-)
if you need help to find a book for yourself or as a present, just ask her for recommendation. she never disappointed me.
There were less books than expected. It's not a place to sit and read a book
For some years now, I've only been buying my books in this small but extremely fine bookstore and rarely go out with fewer than three books. Usually there is also a personal tip from Ms. Jeller, I cannot understand the negative reviews regarding rudeness in any way (as long as you treat the open books with care).
For books that I can only find online (amazon), it is no problem to have them ordered and they can be picked up within a very short time.
When I entered this bookstore for the first time more than 2 decades ago, I was fascinated by the high room with the bookshelves and when I discovered the old stove, I had to look out for the back room from the neverending story. Unfortunately there are not, but there are many books that fascinated me in a similar way and I received so many good book tips from Anna Jeller that I can only recommend them. Regardless of whether it's a recommendation for someone who doesn't actually read or someone who already knows almost everything - Anna has something for everyone.
When I asked if Ms. jeller could give me information about 3 philosophical Reclam books, the following dialogue developed:
J: these are philosophical treatises that appeared on the occasion of the covid crisis
PV: so you can't say more about it
J: well what do you want? Because of the mask alone, I can't give any presentations here ...
Says she turns away.
I'm going to a small bookstore to get more information than the reproduction of the title - but at least to say honestly that you can't say anything about the content or the author would be more respectful than the threadbare justification that came afterwards: you know obviously not what it's like to work 8 hours with an ffp 2 mask at high pressure ...
Somehow strange
