Ikram is so nice lady and so helpful for me this lady is so polite
Great experience, great service, great prices. Frau Dizili Ikram was very helpful and made my first home shopping experience great. I would recommend her and always return back for home furniture but not kitchen. The kitchen was too expensive, I got the same kitchen in mömax with installation delivery and everything for 966 euros less.
The first time I was at Ludwig, I was actually positively surprised. It seemed to be a very warm shop, rather than yet another furniture giant. Staff was friendly, prices seemed more than okay (also due to anniversary deals) and there was even a water dispenser! I didn't buy anything, but I definitely wanted to come back with my girlfriend to get some things there.
My second visit, the one where I actually went with my girlfriend to buy something, turned out to be quite different. We were looking for a set of cuttlery and found a set that we actually liked behind a big SALE sign. Then we realised, that the displayed box had some different series number and that the sale might not apply. Moreover, it looked as if it were the only box with that series number, so only the examplar was left for sale.
So we requested some help from the personel. One staff member was immediately eager to help, but then a second woman came in and scared her colleague back to their task, and that woman was the once helping us with the issue. She confirmed that the action shield was placed to the wrong set and started complaining that she was completely annoyed by how everything was displayed, but then more to herself than to us. We then asked whether there would be some closed box left for sale from the set of cuttlery that we found and she went to the computer and said there should be three boxes left.
However, she couldn't find those boxes and started getting frustrated. We tried to help her, by indicating that there were some boxes hidden behind other boxes, which turned out to be yet another kind of cuttlery. Eventually, she took some boxes and started to cut open boxes behind her desk to verify that they were one kind and not the other, leaving us standing there in the shop. At this point, she hadn't said anything since the update that there should be three boxes left. It was quite the chaos.
Since we were left alone, we continued to look around in the cuttlery and noticed that not all of these boxes were the same. The box with the sales had 24 pieces, whereas the box without sales that we were interested in, had 30 pieces. What happened was that these boxes were falsely labelled and since the woman only looked at the labels, she couldn't find these boxes.
So we approached the woman again and shared our discovery. I had this feeling that she was not convinced by our argument as if customers could impossibly be able to find out what's wrong faster than herself. After some insisting, she went to inspect our claims. In doing so, she practically didn't say anything and it felt like we were completely ignored. Then she took one of the boxes that we were interested in from the shelves, cut it open to verify that it is the kind that we want and then finally said somethig again and asked us whether this was the cuttlery we were interested in. We confirmed and then she went on collecting the boxes and instructing her co-worker to do this and that. Essentially they started relabelling the boxes and we were again left alone in the shop.
For as far as I know, an article that is falsely labelled by the shop should be sold at the advertised price (the box we were interested in was slightly more expensive). Due to the good impression I had from my first visit, I did not want to "play it hard" and start a discussion about that. Rather I would have hoped for a gesture of gratitude for the fact that we found out what was wrong, and did not simply take the box that was labelled as cheaper and leave everything as it is. In the end that would have saved us a lot of time standing around in a shop, akwardly waiting until we can finally buy a box of cuttlery. That hope was idle, however, since we did not even get a thank you or even something as little as a friendly smile.
NOTE: it turns out that I could have bought the same box of cuttlery online, for less money and probably with more professional guidance.
TL;DR: A grumpy staff member that showed little politeness has ruined a possibly good store.
Nice place, good stuff but prices are on the higher side
