Geburtshaus - Von Anfang an...

Ich habe mich im geburtshaus von Anfang an super betreut gefühlt. Wir haben den Geburtsvorbereitungskurs dort gemacht, auch den kann ich nur empfehlen egal ob man vorhat dort sein Baby zu bekommen oder nicht: es werden viele praktische Übungen gemacht und auch individuell auf alle Fragen, Ängste und Bedürfnisse eingegangen. Die Vorsorge Untersuchen und Termine in der Schwangerschaft fanden wir auch super! Die drei Hebammen, die man im laufe der Zeit alle gut kennen lernt, nehmen sich alle ganz viel Zeit und sind auch außerhalb der Termine für alle Fragen zu erreichen. Man fühlt sich wirklich gut auf die Geburt und das Leben mit einem Neugeborenen vorbereitet! Die Betreuung während der Geburt war unfassbar toll! Es waren zwei Hebammen für uns da wobei wir keine Sekunde auf uns alleine gestellt waren. Diese tolle Betreuung kriegt man woanders einfach nicht. Ich kann mir garnicht vorstellen wie das ohne die tolle Hilfe überhaupt möglich ist! Wir waren beide wirklich so begeistert von der tollen Begleitung! Nach der Geburt konnten wir noch etwas essen und trinken und ganz in Ruhe unser Baby kennen lernen. Auch dass man nach der Geburt (bei uns nach ca. 3 Stunden) nach Hause geht, war die beste Entscheidung! Wir konnten uns alle drei in Ruhe zu Hause erholen und das war ein super schöner Start (obwohl ich anfangs etwas Angst hatte, weil es so „normal“ ist 3-5 Tage im Krankenhaus zu sein - jetzt weis ich, wenn es allen gut geht ist das überhaupt nicht nötig!) Im Großen und Ganzen kann ich das Geburtshaus und die dazugehörigen Hebammen zur Vorbereitung auf die Geburt, die Geburt selbst und auch zur nachbetreuung und deren Kursangebot (Akupunktur usw.) nur empfehlen! Best decision ever! A great pregnancy accompaniment "from the beginning", also a place of well-being for the fathers. Individual care, family atmosphere, lots of opportunities to get to know other mothers. In addition to the preparatory courses, there are numerous other offers such as yoga, baby massage and postnatal training. All three midwives are cute, each in their own way. A place of encounter, joy, peace, relaxation and security. A self-determined birth according to the needs of the mother, without the stress or the atmosphere of a hospital. All in all I would give twice as many stars if I could. Thank you for everything :)

The desire for individual and appreciative care was turned into the opposite. Labor began in the apartment in Vienna, we were instructed to go to the birth house, and contrary to our wishes, it was suggested that we should give birth in the birth house. I didn't realize why until later. Midwife R.Z. As we learned later, I had a long and complicated birth behind him in the hospital and arrived at our place very tired. An attempt was made to compensate for this by appointing a midwife + intern at the beginning (RZ took a few hours break in the meantime) and another midwife at the end of the birth (I don't want any irritation in such a situation), which is most likely alone was already necessary due to legal reasons (continuous working hours). I got the impression that Ms. R.Z. This second birth in a row (with a short break in between) wanted to get over her tiredness as quickly as possible. In any case, this is how you can explain your extremely rough approach and the condemning comments alla "why are you standing in line" for me. This feeling of being conveyed to something wrong can be very stressful in such a sensitive situation. What happened in the birth house only became clear afterwards during the aftercare where there were again pejorative comments. Instead of useful advice, there were hair-raising tips on how to feed a newborn baby with pasta. We canceled this form of follow-up care at an early stage. In general, I advise everyone to inform themselves about "violence in the delivery room" (see YouTube etc.) before using such services, not to let themselves be guided by vague fears of conventional births in hospitals, to listen to their gut instinct and not from a beautiful homepage and recommendations to be influenced too much by third parties. For one, Ms. Z. may be a good fit and for the other it can be a traumatic experience. Unfortunately, the latter was the case with us and continues to have an effect to this day! No wonder this midwife is locked in two houses.

I was with the care during the pregnancy to my second child, during the birth and the aftercare at home super satisfied and felt very well. The midwives are all very loving, calm, professional and caring. My dear midwife Martina, I thank you for the relaxed and great company, she was always there for me, answered every still stupid question and calmed me down and steered me on the right path. In addition, the sibling preparation course has left a lot of impressions and knowledge with my big daughter, she has enjoyed reading with her other big siblings, making things and listening to the baby's heartbeats. I advise every expectant mom to visit the birthplace, it was just fantastic! Keep up the good work, you make a valuable and important contribution to the birth culture in Austria! 🥰
