Rathaus, the town hall of Vienna is centrally located and is beautiful with its grand tall structure mesmerizing the visitors. Its architecture is awesome. At the back side of the Rathaus, in winters, one can see the ice skating ring by the municipality where one can practice and enjoy skating. Skates are leased out. Many vegan stalls can be seen in the vicinity to quench ones hunger with variety of dishes

Nice and interesting sculpture. Good to have a look at it.

1986 copy of the 1882 iron Man called "Rathausmann", who is on top of the city hall's main tower. I like to see it because it reminds me of the opening scene of one of the most beautiful movies ever made, Erich von Stroheim's 1828 "Wedding March".

One of the interesting monuments to see at Rathausplatz is the copy of the Rathausmann (Town Hall Guard). The original is found atop Rathaus (City Hall), this is a plaster work created in 1986 during restoration works at the Rathaus building. This is a 5.5 metre tall figure of a medieval knight, holding up a flagpole and facing the Rathaus building. The guard is supposedly dressed in armour fashioned after Emperor Maximilian I own. The statue stands upon a simple pedestal and stone base. Give it a few minutes if you plan to o a bit of monument viewing at Rathausplatz. There are quite a few to see and this is one that is quite interesting and memorable.
