Konditorei - Cafe Frauenschuh

Ice cream didn't taste good and they refused to let my son taste a new flavour even after I ordered mine (so they are sure am not there for free ice-cream).

The apple strudel here is very nice. One issue for us was that they are cash only and yet have two signs out the front with the American Express logo. When we mentioned it to the person service us, she just shrugged her shoulders and said sorry.

This was the finest pastry/dessert/cake experience of our entire trip. We will forever remember picking out three different items for takeaway, then waking down to the park by the lake, and sitting down on a bench in the shade of a tree, eating those incredible confections while looking at a stunning pastoral view. The cakes here were better than anything we could find in Salzburg.

ZERO STARS. Omg. I’ve been all over. We always eat out and like to go to cafe’s and restaurants but the waiter and service here was shockingly rude and ignorant. If it was possible to give zero stars I would. We had to leave and went across to cafe braun which was really nice. AVOID
