I have purchased several prints from Galerie Hochdruck in the past (shipped to the UK), and the service and communication from Herr Tachezi has always been first-class. I would highly recommend this gallery and its owner.

I loved the range of prints on show when I visited last. I'm not often in Vienna but keep track of the shows via their newsletters. Always well curated shows I want to see.

Dear art-lovers! In particular, lovers of fine art prints! Galerie Hochdruch is the most fascinating, impressive, and stimulating gallery in Austria, and in all of Europe no finer exhibition space can be found - including Paris, London, Berlin, Rome, even New York. The gallery itself is nicely situated on Neudeggergasse, which is a lovely, romantic cobble-stoned lane in the 8th district of the Vienna - the smallest and noblest district of the central city. The façade of the fin-de-siecle building is rendered in beautiful large cut stone blocks not unlike those used to construct historic castles. Although every genre of print making and most every print making technique are represented at Galerie Hochdruch, my personal interest lies in the works of Expressionist artists whose wood-cuts (Holzschnitte) are richly represented on both floors of exhibition space. Of course, no great museum, restaurant, or theater is truly successful without the exceptional vision and expertise of its director. At Galerie Hochdruch (which in German connotes 'printmaking', while in English translates literally 'high pressure') the curatorial thrust and artistic intelligence of Herwig Tachezi are unmatched anywhere. Mr. Tachezi presents a series of creatively selected exhibition themes and hosts the public to a splendid vernissage event for each gallery each . As a meticulous curator, he publishes a definitive catalog for every exhibition that are collector's items in themselves. During clement weather, Mr. Tachezi even conducts a gratis introductory print making workshop around the exterior of his building to acquaint those who might want the hands-on experience of creating a printed objet d'art. The dialogue, the lectures, and the art on display warrant our attention, our visits, and our on-going support. I could not recommend more highly an intimate gallery devoted to the art and history of print making, than I can Galerie Hochdruck. - Tav Falco, performer & filmmaker 2019

The ordered prints have been carefully packed and reached in perfect condition in Switzerland. The contact was friendly, personal and competent, feedback always came immediately. A joy!
