As the only chapel in the Lauterach market town, it was built around 1900, financed by foundations. The simple copper-clad entrance door is in the northwest. There are indicated pilasters on the corners of the building and in the middle of the long sides. The square roof turret with the bell on the gable roof is in the southeast. The gable roof is covered with plain tiles, the bell ridge is covered with copper. On the bell ridge there is an unusual cross that resembles a weather vane. The prayer room and the chancel are structurally separated from each other by a low lattice. The interior is characterized by a flat barrel vault. On the long sides of the facade there are two large arched windows that illuminate the interior well. The pews are made of light fir wood and are kept simple. They offer space for around 30 people. The chapel has an imposing high altar in the form of a stylized grotto with the statue of Our Lady in Lourdes. On the left is a statue of Bernadette Soubirous in a humble, adoring posture. On the right, on a table next to it, is a figure of Jesus. The floor is laid out with beige-gray and dark-gray tiles, which are laid in a diamond shape, so that there is a path on dark-gray tiles to the grotto from the entrance door.
