A wonderful family run hut with great atmosphere. Christine, Elvis and their whole family creating with pleasure and passion an exiting experience. Lovely modernised rooms, clean and perfectly maintained, and a delicious cuisine surprises every day. We’ve been there winter time, surrounded by impressive mountains and right in the middle of endless ski touring opportunities. Thanks a lot - we‘ll come back for sure...!

This Hutte is yet to be reopened to Hemingway Fans as the Electricity Board Illwerke have occupied it with Dam Workers. Not literally dammed Workers but serious chaps making life better for Vorarlberg. When it reopens you can see the Hutte where Hemingway had his infamous affair with his soon to become second wife whislt his first wife was staying in the Montafon. What a character to follow as a writer as I probably will not win the Nobel and Pulitzer prizes for my writing. However it is almost one hundred years since he visited the Montafon as you can see in these pictures. I suggest though the Weisbadener Hutte will give you the atmosphere of the 1920's if you follow my Reviews. There was also a Nazi Work Camp during the Dam Building which is often forgotten with workers that came from the Russian Front. Best Wishes and hope it reopens to guests soon.
