A bit expensive for what it offers. Accommodation is OK. Not great or spectacular, but generally clean and in good shape, a lot of IKEA furniture. From what I understand, conditions can vary greatly, depending on the building you get assigned to (they have multiple buildings, some really new, some really old). We got the Green House, which was quite basic, and the bathroom looked a bit outdated, but otherwise had a great view towards the river. Plenty of activities to keep small children busy: swimming pool, petting zoo, playground, organized arts&crafts or competitions, some sports, bicycles. The major minus is hygiene in the restaurant. We visited during the Corona-virus pandemic, and we were expecting the buffet-style meals to go away, and every staff member to wear a mask. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Some staff members did not wear a mask and were even sneezing as they handled your soup. Some had a mask, but did not wear it properly. Most cutlery and drinking glasses had visible remains of food or lipstick on them from previous guests. Same with plates, which seemed to have been washed in a hurry. Guests were not very disciplined about keeping the social distance (which is expected when dealing with children, but I also saw several adults congregating near or over food). People were touching everything. Yes, they did introduce single-use cutlery for getting your own food, but I think this is not enough. There were also several flies in the room, sometimes stopping over the cakes. My suggestions to the restaurant manager: 1. Put all food behind closed display glass. 2. Hire staff to serve food, and train them to wear masks all the time. 3. Wash dishes and cutlery really well. 4. Buy an insect zapper.

Great hotel for kids! Very lovingly designed garden, the kitchen is, hmmm "simple" but delicious! Staff is also super nice! Had a wonderful short break and will definitely be back next year. My only criticism is that you should perhaps advise parents to explain to their children that eg. the rabbits are not toys!
