WERNER Röslhuber (08/15/2019)
The Mesnerturm is one of those typical weather towers, as they have been built since 1600 in many places of Eastern Styria, which have no church. The tower is 9.05 meters high, covered with boards and has four gothic sound windows in the upper area. According to information from the state archives, it can be assumed that the weather tower was built at the same time as the bell was cast in 1756. According to stories of older Gemrindebürger the Mesnerturm overturned in August 1926 during a severe storm of tempests. Then he was set up again by a carpenter. In 1932 a huge storm overturned the bell tower again.

A wonderful little excursion destination and especially with the stories of Werner Rahm worth seeing! Really an insider tip!
