Museum of Natural History Vienna

When visiting Wien, this museum is a must-see! I personally loved the rocks, minerals, and meteorite halls and seeing the Venus of Willendorf was spectacular. I've been here several times and it can be quite crowded during the peak tourist season. Loo

Amazing building and impressive collection. The mineralogy section is beautiful.

A lot of nice things to explore. They have a huge variety of natural minerals and gem stones, which is great. My favorite was the stone age collection because they explain it in a nice way. Good for all ages and kids will love it a lot.

One of the best museums I have ever visited. The collection is very rich and various - from unliving matter (minerals etc.) to microorganisms, insects, vertebrates (prepared in formalin, stuffed or just pinned down). There are interactive exhibitions for older and younger visitors. I was surprised to discover its richness after reading opinions on google maps.
