After a long stay in Paris, I also searched in vain for bakeries in Vienna, who bake themselves locally and at affordable prices. I found all this in the bakery Zobaeck. The fact that it is still a social project is the icing on the cake, but not the reason why you should go there. The quality of baked goods alone is worth the way and as I said, you can afford it every day. The prices are on supermarket level, the quality is far above. My recommendation: the nut bread, there is not saved with the walnuts

Finally a bakery that bakes itself! Instead of baked dough pieces from the freezer, as with Ströck and Co., after a long search I finally found a bakery that still bakes by hand and myself. I have never eaten such good rolls like here in Vienna - crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The fact that the rolls and bread rolls are not always completely round shows that people still work here and put a lot of love into their craft. Another advantage of the bakery is that it is affordable. In contrast to e.g. Joseph Bread, who also bakes himself, you can enjoy your daily bread here without looking at your account! A real pleasure that also pays off to take the subway a few stations.
