Shura Mosque مسجد الشورى

Extremely far from the sunnah and one should stay away from it if one cares about his deen.

I visit this mosque for Friday prayer over the past several years. The prayer is led by Dr. Adnan Ibrahim who is an extraordinary and highly cultured Sheikh. He is a learned person, ardent reader of books, thinker and eloquent. For all my academic qualifications, I learn a lot from him and listen intently to his Friday Khotba (speech) which sometimes lasts for one-and-a-half hours. He moulds knowledge of Islamic teachings and jurisprudence and Qur'an interpretations in a modern, simple and understandable style which appeals greatly to all categories of his audience. What attracts me most is that he is not repetitive. There is always something new in what he says. As such, he is very respectful to the minds oyf his listeners as well as to thousands of people who follow him through the UTube.

Beautiful people and the Masjid and food too

A well maintained mosque, clean and lies in an accessible location.
