Great plce to see in vienna

It is said that this auditorium was the premiere of Beethoven's Symphony No. 7 at the former University of Vienna. Admission is free and free, but it seems that it is currently closed due to the influence of the new Corona.

The baroque building complex was built in 1624 in the Stubenviertel on the grounds of the medieval Herzogskolleg around the Jesuit church. The first medieval university building was moved a few years after the founding of the university by Duke Rudolf IV in 1365: the opposite of the Dominican monastery located in the Collegium ducale. After the extensive transfer of teaching to the Jesuit order developed until 1650 today's extensive early Baroque complex with the Jesuit Church (current form of 1703) and the University Square in the center, until 1883 used by the university. Under Empress Maria Theresa the "New Aula" was built in 1756 in the style of a late Baroque Rococo palace (since 1857 the seat of the Austrian Academy of Sciences), which is connected to the rectangular building of the Jesuit College via two arches.
