Wonderful location. Nice rooms and overall facilities. Great bar and restaurant. Wonderful Austrian Breakfast. But the greatest thing about Kirchenwirt are its people. They make you feel at home, even if home is far away and in a different language. If you are going to Strobl, this is the place to stay, especially if you can swing a room with a view of Wolfgangsee.

We had a really delicious dinner here! After few of so-so restaurants we’ve visited, it was surprising a bit to find a place where every single dish was so tasty! We ordered hot chocolate, cream garlic soup, beef noodle soup, and spinach dumplings. Everything was excellent and the staff are very polite and friendly. My only note is that it is a bit strange for us that they served us lots of bread with the soup (we didn’t asked for bread), but they charge for each bread you eat (after we ate we saw a little paper with price list for the bread), usually you get some bread included with soup dishes. Other than that, it was great and we recommend to eat here!

Had a lovely dinner with superb service from all the staff. Even staff not assigned to waiting at our table was attentive as they recognized we were traveling with young children.

Very friendly service and cosy environment. We walked in and managed to get a table but there we quite a few tables reserved. The food was fantastic and most of their food is sourced from local farmers.
