A very unique experience. A store from the 19th century where you can arrange your clothes and ... Unbelievable that this still exists. Worth a visit.

In 1720 a canvas dealer from Swabia moved to Vienna. He called his business because he had three daughters "Zur Schwäbischen Jungfrau". Due to its success and the nearby Hofburg, the company later became a k.u.k. Purveyor. The napkins for Emperor Franz Joseph I were made there or the lace bedding for Empress Elisabeth. The painters Johann Nepomuk Mayer and Johann Kupelwieser made the paintings of the virgin for the shop. In 1968 the business burned down completely; the brothers of the then owner Hanni Vanicek, who took over the business in 1960, personally saved the paintings by Mayer and Kupelwieser.
