The best thing to do is to park the car in Sarmingstein at the train station and thus pass a small torrent. 5 minutes later you have already arrived at the tower ruins. At the top you have a good view of the Danube

The former toll tower at Sarmingstein is easy to see from the road, a short stop for a visit is a good idea. Parking is available 5 minutes on foot. Access to the tower is via a footbridge. From the tower you have a beautiful view of the Danube, highly recommended for a short rest if you are not in a hurry and want to enjoy the landscape a little.

Idyllic short walk over a small stream up to the tower ruin Sarmingstein. The tower is walkable with a new wooden bridge - there you have a wonderful view of the Danube. Then the Wegerl down and you're back in the car. A nice inn can be found right on the Danube ...
