Hotel Royal

Convenient place to stay at the heart of Vienna, so close to the Saint Stephen Cathedral. I reserve standard single room which is spacious to my surprise. The staffs are professional and friendly. Awesome breakfast and restaurant. 1 minute walk to the supermarket and surrounding shops. Highly recommended. 1 star should be added if the hotel had refilled the shower gel and cotton buds each day.

I travel quite often and have visited my share of 4-star hotels. I do understand the first three stars, but the forth I'm afraid, I do not understand. The hotel is historic and is beautifully decorated displaying historic artifacts on all floors and in the lobby. The English is quite limited and the service level of the behind-the-counter staff is very limited. Our reservation consisted of two rooms for two people, however only one room was ready upon arrival. Checking in took forever. The room was equipped with a bathtub holding several long, dark hairs upon arrival. Cleaned it up and all was good. My boyfriend is quite tall - and also too tall for the tub-shower. Normally tea and coffee in the rooms are complimentary, but not at this hotel. Will we come back or recommend to others - I'm afraid not and that's too bad since the location is amazing.

Very nice hotel and service right at city centre. It has great italian style restaurant with pleasant stuff and good breakfast. Recommended for business travelers.

Restaurant is horrible, absolutely easy Spaghetti Bolonese where dry and looked like one day old. The prices are normal, design of the restaurant was nice but food... ohh.. all people from our group didnt like it, so it wasnt just mine opinion. Come on people you can make better!
