Austria Trend Hotel Europa Wien

My stay over Christmas of 1966 was so memorable it is always remembered at this time of year. I was about to go into military service and took a vacation to Vienna. The Concierge was able to arrange tickets for the State Opera Ballet and the New Year's concert of the Vienna Philharmonic under the late Willi Boskovsky. My ticket placed me next to the Late Baron Hubert von Pantz & his American wife Terry of Enzesfeld. Schloss Enzesfeld was a former Rothschild castle purchased from the Hapsburgs in 1880. It hosted the Duke of Windsor following his Abdication of the Crown (1936). All chance encounters that I am reminded of today.

The location of the hotel is super good, central, close to the shops, bars etc. The room was clean, with everything you need. The only minus was the bathroom, everytime you have shower, the whole floor in bathroom is covered in water and the housekeeping girls don't knock at the door, it happened two times in two days, which is not ok. Reception and bar staff very kind, professional, especially Alban from Albany. Thank you

Poor breakfast, nice rooms, medium service

Good modern Hotel centrally situated. Fantastic breakfast... no other meals. Good service and staff. Rooms disappointingly small
