We recently met police officers from the Mariazell Inspection in front of the post office when they were bringing the official mail away. My 3 1/2 year old son greeted the police officers and marveled at their bus. Immediately he was allowed to sit on the driver and even switch on the blue light. Thanks for the highlight of the day for him!
You only get a star if something doesn't fit! When we left the Pirker at lunchtime and stepped onto the sidewalk in front of it, a policeman from the opposite side of the street "ruled" us that school was just over and we should kindly use the sidewalk when crossing the street! When I told him that we weren't going to cross the street, he said in a "brisk tone" that it was compulsory to use the zebra crossing within 25 meters. - Firstly, it was not our intention to cross the street, so excitement from the "very unfriendly policeman" for nothing, and secondly, a training in friendliness in dealing with fellow men would be appropriate! For some police officers' own problems, others cannot help it! The sound makes the music!!!!
