Eibes of the last remaining "specialty stores" with competent advice and good service!
I can't go into so much detail here because I don't understand anything about the subject, but I can say: You go in, say what you need and then get it. In my case, 2x fabric for the tablecloths of a market stall.
The tailor service is also an inexpensive dream! Nobody who doesn't do it out of passion needs to torment themselves behind a sewing machine that might have to be bought first.
