Pension Amelie

It was a really great stay. The room was very comfortable, the bathroom was very nice. You can enjoy breakfast in the idyllic inner courtyard, which is furnished with great attention to detail. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired. We felt very comfortable.

The first contact by email and phone was very friendly and the landlady came to meet us with the price of the apartment. In another phone call during the corona-related lock-down, she also expressed her gratitude that we had not canceled. Unfortunately, this good impression did not continue during our stay. We were not received personally on the day of arrival, although we had reported by phone in good time as discussed. There was no briefing in the holiday apartment or at least the information that we can contact us at any time if we have any questions. The apartment smelled damp and a bit musty and there was no information material about the area or WiFi code. We only received the Neusiedler See Card the next day. It was very humid in the apartment, so sleeping was only halfway possible with the window open. Unfortunately, the bedroom windows of the (large) apartment were right on the street, which was not very busy, but was incredibly noisy due to the location. So you woke up every time a car drove by (from 4 a.m.). The request to get a fan was answered in the affirmative, but no one was brought by. A misunderstanding regarding breakfast could be cleared up, but relatively unattractive and could have been cleared up in advance due to the email traffic. The behavior of the landlady was impossible when it came to our befriended family's move to another apartment due to her bad planning. The landlady took out the anger about this situation on us, even though we had nothing to do with it. She regretted her behavior, but not authentically, but played. You have to pay the bill in cash, which is absolutely out of date. On the day of departure, we should contact us by SMS when we have left the apartment (?!?). We received a call shortly before 9 a.m., although the checkout is possible until 10:30 a.m. according to the regulations. We have never seen anything like it. Overall, we never felt welcome or valued as paying guests, although we always behaved in a friendly and correct manner. We don't know whether it was because we got the large apartment a little cheaper (which was an offer from us, otherwise we would have kept the smaller apartment) or were not Austrians. In any case, it has nothing to do with hospitality. Very unfortunate and unfortunate, as the vacation that was worked out was supposed to serve as a recreation. The many positive reviews are therefore all board guests who, in contrast to the holiday apartment guests, are treated like guests. Never again Pension / Ferienhaus Amelie.

Here comes the holiday feeling! The pension is quietly located in a side street and is an ideal starting point for countless activities. The room was very nice and clean. The beds were super comfortable. Breakfast with a good coffee can also be enjoyed outdoors, the view is wonderful. Very nice and cheerful hostess. We felt very comfortable here in the cherry and strawberry season and will definitely be back. Tip: You can rent an electric bike at the Pension Amelie for a surcharge to explore the great surroundings up close :-)

The hosts are very friendly and the rooms are nicely decorated and clean. Would love to come back.
