The Appel company was commissioned by our property management to paint our staircase (apartment building) and to carry out small repairs (currently in May 2020) One of the employees is a heavy smoker (he smokes a cigarette every half hour). After I witnessed several times that the employee smokes IN the house or DIRECTLY stands in the house entrance and smokes with the door open, I tried to tell the employee that it was not appropriate to smoke in the house. The employee did not understand me (deaf) and his colleagues made no move to translate him. All I had to do was email the company. This was answered very rude, namely that the employee is deaf and therefore does not understand what I want from him and the boss personally comes in 1-2 times a day (!) And he did not notice that there was so much smoking ... accordingly I have to assume that even the boss of the company doesn't mind this behavior, because even days later the same sight was offered to me every time I went in or out, even though the boss said he had told his employee. The man is still standing in the middle of the door or in the house and continues to smoke happily. Every time I say something and in the meantime other employees even say that the employee is deaf ... I'm sorry, but one has nothing to do with the other here and this work ethic is simply unacceptable and if you ask to smoke Obviously ignored in the house, this is disrespectful to the residents and owners of the facility. I would advise anyone against engaging this company. (I am also curious to see how the clean-up work looks like. After 2 weeks there is still a lot of dirt in the house, all the door mats have been sprayed with paint, many door frames have unclean spots, the inside of the lift is heavily soiled) I will read the review edit accordingly after completion of the work. Update on May 25th: Cleaning was NOT done by the company. The stains on the floor mats are of course left to everyone anyway, or only use new ones, and the lift, staircase, etc. were only cleaned of our own house cleaning one week after the Appel painting company had left.
