Truly a singular and different work from the usual, only after seeing it did I find out and saw that it was a sort of method of collecting donations, which follows a little the method of candles in the church, here simply if you made a donation you could plant a nail in the wooden statue that depicted a warrior. This has transformed it into a sort of pointillist work, truly unique.

WEHRMAN IN EISEN, (historical example of crowdfunding) is a wooden statue created by Josef Müllner, erected on March 6, 1915 on the Schwarzenbergplatz and held here throughout the First World War. Every Viennese could plant a nail in the wooden statue in exchange for a donation, the proceeds were used to support widows and orphans of soldiers who died in war. Creation had not only financial reasons but also a propaganda purpose. Already in the first two days, about 1,400 people had planted a nail in the "Military Iron". at the end of the conflict its function ended and the empire was lost the statue was preserved and today we find it exposed on the north side of the Rathaus.
