Breathtaking view from the summit, which is worth the sometimes arduous ascent. We recommend planning a bike & hike tour here. Rent e-bikes so you can cycle to the upper Farmkehralm and hike from there to the summit.

Nice 3h tour where you will be rewarded with a great panoramic view. Almost the entire route runs along beautiful, well-maintained paths. (and not like in other hiking areas on forest paths) Technically not particularly difficult, you can also do it with children, but not physically without :-) On the way back a break on the Farmkehr Alm is recommended.

My family and I spend almost all holidays in Alpbach. On this occasion, the Great and also the Little Galtenberg simply belongs. A magnificent panorama crowns the sweaty climb :-)

The highest mountain in the district Kufstein. You just have to be up there. Breathtaking views not only on the Alpbachtal, but also on the Hohe Tauern, the Karwendelgebirge, the Zillertal Alps and the Rofan.

Beautiful hike starting from the parking lot in Inneralpbach. From there up to the church and then past the local museum, where the entrance to the trail begins. From there mostly on hiking trails and zig-zagging only briefly on a forest road, until quite soon the long ridge, at the end of the summit rise, is reached. Following this grade to the summit, which takes another scarce hour and represents the only danger of falling on the tour. At the summit at 2425m there is a great view of Karwendel, the Tux Alps, the Zillertal Alps, the Großvenediger and many other massifs - in fact you have a perfect 360 degree view. The descent should definitely be made on the ascent route. There are many alleged descent routes on the Internet, but these are terrible / not signposted. The exception is the descent over the lower alpine pasture, located at 1500 m, where you can also stop and then but the remaining 4km along the valley partly on gravel paths. The walk is good to do with children, but surefootedness is required at the summit and equally good condition, since the whole thing goes properly with 16-18km and 1450hm in the legs.
