The famous Bavarian writer "Ludwig Albert Ganghofer", born on July 7th, 1855 - died on July 24th, 1920, lived almost 20 years in the beautiful Gaistal - in Leutasch, hence the name "Ganghoferweg" Ludwig Ganghofer's house stands above the Tillfussalm and is the actual beginning of the "Ganghoferweg" Back in 1896, Ludwig Ganghofer had leased a 20,000 hectare big game hunt - above the Tillfussalm, which he kept until 1918! In winter, the "Ganghoferweg" begins behind the Gaistalalm, as the path - depending on the weather - between "Gaistalalm and Tillfussalm" is closed due to the danger of avalanches! Please take the warnings of the avalanche service seriously !! The start of the wonderful hike - snowshoe hike - is the very large chargeable * 4, - € car park in Salzbach im Gaistal! A great, easy, family-friendly circular hike, with a walking time of approx. 2.5 to 3 hours and approx. 10 kilometers! On the toboggan run, which is currently (winter!), It takes approx. 10 min. Easy up to the junction: "Gaistalalm - Tillfussalm." At the junction you hike over a wide forest path - along the Leutascher Ache - towards the Gaistalalm. Depending on the weather - you can hike to the Tillfussalm u from there the "Ganghoferweg" - or start from the Gaistalalm! Behind the Gaistalalm you go to the "Ganghoferweg" - - and the Wetterstein Mountains and the Mieminger Mountains accompany you! In winter, snowshoes are recommended! Very nice hike - no matter what time of year 👍❤️
