The memorial for Josef Krainer, governor of Styria from 1947 to 1971, who died here on November 28, 1971, is located in the Mittergrub neighbourhood. The memorial is a round building made of Afram limestone, placed in the open landscape, which was designed by the architect Kurt Weber-Mzell and built by Anton Liebmann. The glass windows were created by Alfred Wickenburg, the crucifixion group by Franz Weiß and the bronze relief by Adolf Zilli. The round altar table stands at the point where Josef Krainer died while hunting.
