Tram stop right under the main train station hall on sub-surface section of otherwise standard tram line. Very short access from the concourse by means of short staircase or lift. Nice example of modern interchange between various public transportation modes.
The station in Linz is clean and well-arranged, there are information signs everywhere, so traveling by train is pleasant

It could be made cleaner and friendlier
Tram station at Linzer Hauptbahnhof. Short way to the platforms. Ticket machines rather slow. Station looks very dark. The directions are well signposted in the railway hall. Departure monitor not to be read from a distance. If a train arrives or leaves, this is very loud.
