What a shame. All of the younger saleswomen are helpful and pleasant, but I have had dreadful dismissive service from the vast majority - not all - of the older ones. The chef might want to explain to these women, for example, that no one wants his or her medical history broadcast throughout the entire room. No need to go back, though; I've received nothing but perfect service from the Willkommens Apotheke in the Märzstraße for years.
sales assistant explained to me everything 👌
I can NOT recommend this pharmacy!
So far I've only been there once, but it will stay that way. Racist, incompetent and rude staff!
Fortunately, there are enough other pharmacies in Vienna so that I no longer have to accept that. I can warmly recommend the ten-minute walk to the nearest pharmacy to everyone.
Incorrect dosage of a prescribed medication was handed over without being checked at the dispensing desk - this can happen
but three weeks later, as an 80 year old, I was refused to sell thromboass, disrespectfully said to a child aspirin. Aspirin, however, is freely available in any dosage. the lady at the desk probably wanted to return the favor because i rejected her advice and her teacher-level allegations about aspirin - i have been taking this medication every day for more than 20 years and am very well informed.
will probably go to another pharmacy in the future!
⚠️I ADVISE YOU FROM THIS PHARMACY.⚠️
Today, November 7th, 2020, my mother went to the Germania pharmacy at around 10:30 a.m. It ended up with a tall, slim employee. She had dark, short hair and was wearing glasses. Unfortunately I don't know the name.
My mother asked them about a certain tea, she wanted to know if they were selling Marmaria tea. The staff member only said in a very condescending tone that she did not understand my mother. [My mother was not born or raised here. She therefore does not always speak German without an accent or perfect, nevertheless she expressed herself clearly and precisely.] My mother then explained to her that Marmaria was desert sage. The employee continued in her very condescending tone and said that she did not know this and that there was nothing like this here. She also said: “WE have no DESERT sage HERE. If you want DESERT sage, you have to go where DESERT is. WE only have OUR sage here. The whole time she also pretended not to understand my mother. However, my mother understood everything. Both what is said and non-verbal communication. Thereupon my mother left the pharmacy disappointed, sad and without buying anything from there.
Why do I know all this so exactly? My mother called me by chance and I could hear everything. So what has just been described was not my mother's subjective perception, but is merely a transcript of what has been said.
I just don't know where to start here. Do we have palm trees here in Vienna? No. Can you still buy a coconut in Vienna? Yes. So the implication that you can only buy regional products in Vienna is utter nonsense. I also understand that anyone can have a bad day, but I do not tolerate anything like that. This is not only bad on the level of technical competence but also on the commercial level. She didn't even offer her an alternative, instead the employee wanted to "send her into the desert" in the truest sense of the word.
It is precisely because of such people that my mother feels insecure and uncomfortable in Austrian society. The employee would certainly never have reacted to a person without a headgear and without an accent. This is pure everyday racism that we do NOT need right now, in difficult times like these. And otherwise not.
You can be sure that we will no longer set foot in this pharmacy.
