Great, not always gray houses.
Liniengasse - before that Feldgasse - has had its current name since 1862.
It goes back to the line wall, a fortification to protect the suburbs. This weir system in the area of today's belt served for defense purposes and later also as a tax limit.
A residential building originally built in 1842 originally stood on the Liniengasse 27 property. The demolition permit for this three-storey building with 15 apartments, a restaurant and a storage room dates from 1983. The building permit for today's residential building was granted shortly afterwards. Architects were Rudolf Hautmann and Klara Hautmann-Kiss.
Paintings with vegetal tendril motifs and flying birds adorn the otherwise white, smooth facade.
