Very cute and beautifully designed building. Not much to be gained by going into the museum apart from to learn a little more about the architect.

The building is original and beautiful but the museum is a ensemble of copies and modern models without soul. There isn't an original or even photo of real finished buildings. Save the money and go to the pub.

Otto Wagner's Pavilion at Karlsplatz one of the finest examples of Vienna Secession architecture in Vienna. Here you find two identical buildings that were constructed in 1898 by Wagner. One is made use by Wien Museum during the months of April to October with opening hours of 10-6pm (Tuesdays to Sunday). The two buildings are an architectural delight if you enjoy Art Nouveau and Secession style architecture. They include apple-green painted wood with metal decor and gold painted ornamentation typical of the surging Secession Movement of late 19th century Vienna. It is a very attractive exterior to view even if you are not a particular fan of this art and architectural movement from the turn of the 20th century. Give Otto Wagner's Pavilion a few minutes of your time while sightseeing at Karlsplatz in Vienna. Then you can continue with your monument viewing and visit to the impressive Karlskirche just behind you on the opposite side of the square.
