The Labetrunkbrunnen (Refreshing Drink Fountain) is a monument of a small kneeling figure of a woman who is providing her child a drink of water. The sculpture is atop a small pedestal with two wells and small basins. Originally designed by Carl Lahner in 1909, the sculpture was rebuilt in 1950 after being destroyed during the war five years earlier. Labetrunkbrunnen is an interesting monument to see if monument viewing at Stadtpark or if dining at Stierereck or Meierei Restaurants, directly in front of this fountain sculpture. You can find another interesting monument nearby to Sebastian Kneipp Brunnen at the other side of the playground area. Additionally, thee is a large-scale, contemporary installation called 'Stage Set' is also situated just near the bridge which crosses the canal to the other side of Stadtpark.

One of the many small works of art that adorn every corner of Vienna; giving way to a myriad of minor authors of part to exhibit their works. In this case, this fountain is both useful and interesting from an artistic point of view. Excellent point of passage.
