Spacious park with abundance of alleys to walk, jog or hang around. It's also a place where imposing concrete towers for anti-aircraft cannons were raised during WW2. Strolling you can spot one of three pairs of towers originally erected in Vienna on Hitler's order.
Love Augarten. It's my local park and I walk there every morning. In the summer you can pick masses of wild garlic in the old bit.
Its just so nice , u can make a lot of activities there. Enough space, kind people, fresh Air , very green and u can get there with the Public-transport .
One of my favourite parks in Vienna. You can walk your dog here, do sports ( a group usually plays pètanque), or just hang your hammock and chill. I like to sit in the shadow of flak towers, too.
I love this park. It's great for running and is extremely spacious. I like running in between the tall hedges, and seeing all the dogs that play around in park sectioned off for dogs and their owners. Walking from one end of the park to the other takes some time and is definitely a great activity if you are trying to pass the time. In the warmer weather, you can also check out the beach volleyball field. There's also a small play area for the kiddos. This park is also nice for taking a casual afternoon walk. Overall, it's great for exercise and to get a breathe of fresh air.
There is also a small cafe with cute lights if you want to stop and have a break.
There are many benches located in the central area of the park that is nice for enjoying the breeze and enjoying the spacious area while watching people play sports. The flakturme have you stop and think about Austria's history as well.
The flora in the park is also beautiful.
