Great Alm with a show dairy - you can watch through a pane of glass how the cheese that is sold there is made. The cows' stable is right next door. The cows are mostly outside and you can assure yourself that the cows from which the milk comes from here have a good life. The cheese and ham are delicious as is the strawberry milk. The atmosphere is calm and you have a wonderful view.
The Alpe was of course closed at this time of year, but the landscape there is like a brief excursion into the sky. Incredibly beautiful. And definitely worth a trip. Also good to go with children.
We drank elderberry juice there, it was served in a plastic cup which smelled like milk so that the juice was almost inedible!
We were also very disappointed with the cheese, but the Romadur cheese has nothing to do with Romadur. The mountain blossom cheese was good. The alpine cheese was also really nothing extraordinary. We were really disappointed! But a great location and a wonderful view ... But excellent Sennrei of the year 2019 ????
