On the occasion of the 800th anniversary of the Diocese of Graz-Seckau, this "peace tree" was planted in Stadtpark Liezen. It was an interreligious action, "Friede-Salam - Shalom," where peace prayers were spoken and sung. Among them were representatives of the Catholic and Protestant churches, the Muslims, the Sikh and the Bahá'í religion. At least once a year, a joint meeting is planned in which prayers for peace are spoken and sung. Next date: Fri. 24 May 2019, at 16 o'clock.
