Very challenging hike but rewarding in the end. Definitely choose a day with good weather to attempt the summit or else you'll be in a cloud with minimal visibility.

Climbing Mt Barney is challenging in places but worth every bit of it. We parked at Yellow Pinch to go up S.E. Ridge and down Peasants Ridge. Views for miles until we got to the top and low cloud cover obsured the views. Doesn't matter, it gives you an excuse to do it again. Allow plenty of time about 6-8hrs. Lots of water & supplies in case you're stuck. If you have done Mt Maroon easily enough, try Barney. Make sure you are with someone who knows the way. Happy climbing. ud83dude0a
