This place goes off. Great staff, food and drinks.

The food was amazing! Pork knuckles for 2-3 pax at $69.90 was excellent and we also order a platter of different sausages to share. The beer was very nice. Whilst the food is very good, there are some drawbacks if you are looking for a more child friendly place, this may not be it. I was driving into the driveway with a drunken guy who couldn’t walk straight into the place and this was 1230pm on a Saturday. Additionally the place is slightly run down but still in good working condition and the space feels a bit cramp. I completely understand there are buses bringing in people who wish to have a good time and drink. That’s is perfectly fine for adults. If you are looking for a more child friendly place, the Henley Brook beside this restaurant would be ideal. The food was served very efficiently despite the crowd and the staff is very friendly. I would recommend this place for pretty authentic Germany food with nice ambience and I will definitely come back again.

Went to lunch today, expecting German food in a German beer hall atmosphere. Unfortunately what we got was completely different. For $26.50 we got a preformed chicken schnitzel with some unknown black sauce they said was suppose to be mushroom? For $25, we also got a burger which was completely raw and when we told the wait staff, were informed that this is how they cook them (or don't cook them), but there is no way I am going to eat raw minced meat, so was forced to wait another 15 minutes for a cooked beef burger, which ended up at least being cooked, but lacked any flavour and included a similar black sauce that had a strange taste and texture, chips were luke warm and lacked seasoning. Our third meal was one of their specials the German Sausages with Mash, what it ended up being was a pile of plain mash potatoes, with 2 bland sausages on top, covered with gravy and again with the same strange black sauce, this time mixed with onions. In all the food was disgusting and unpleasant. As for the atmosphere, there was absolutely no resemblance to any German Beer Hall I have ever been to, they played some heavy bass music which made it impossible to have a conversation with the people you were sitting with at the table (and we were inside, not even in the area where the music was being played). The only thing that is German about this place is the name.. end of story. So if you want bland, overpriced basic food in a noisy pub like atmosphere, this is your place. However, if you are looking for any resemblance of German Food or Atmosphere, I suggest you go elsewhere.

I would recommend the pork and any of the beers.
