Well it was where we could get in. Lots of trees which was nice, but made it a little too shady where we were, great in summer, a bit cold in winter. Camp was clean and well looked after. I think for us the fact they allow dogs was not ideal. Love dogs, but when you have a lot of them in a small area you do get barking. Owners were pretty good trying to keep them quiet, but dogs will be dogsud83dude0a the bush turkeys were annoying, getting into rubbish, wandering through our camp since we didnt have a dog to see them off.

A lovely spot with good amenities and a great location. Plenty of established trees for shade and the staff are pleasant. If you’re sensitive to sandflies/midges be careful around dusk & dawn as they were out in force. The park shop has plenty of good insect repellents etc to keep you sorted.

Customer service was unfortunately not at the level you would expect, which was very disappointing. The amenities are great. Cabins are great. Leaves and branches all over the park which made me nervous about snakes. Just needs a good tidy up. Other than that, a great base to go and explore 1770!

If you're going to stay here do it by booking.com. We booked a cabin for May direct with the park and needed to cancel. Called them three weeks prior to the arrival date to cancel and they won't give us a refund. While the lady on the phone was nice it doesn't help us financially.

We stayed in the Captain Quarters. Don't let the photos fool you.nIt seems to be a renovated kitchen quarters, but it's still pretty nice with lots of storage space. We now have a private bathroom to accompany the larrrge outside entertainment area. Fits up to 9 people; we fit 5 adults and one baby (with cot) comfortably.nnWe've already booked for next year. Would recommend.
